Wisconsin Men's Basketball Preseason Favorites

The Big Ten Conference released media picks for the top three finishers in league play, which featured Wisconsin at No. 1.The Badgers are followed by Michigan St. at No. 2 and Ohio State at No. 3.
It marks Wisconsin's first-ever preseason No. 1 ranking under coach Bo Ryan. The Badgers have been in the top three of the preseason rankings six times.
Wisconsin officially opens the season with an exhibition game against UW-Parkside on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Kohl Center.
Wisconsin senior Frank Kaminsky was named Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year by a vote of the league's media. Kaminsky is the third Badger to be named conference preseason player of the year.
Kaminsky was also named to the preseason all-conference team, the only player to earn unanimous selection. He is joined by teammate and junior forward Sam Dekker.
It's the first time Wisconsin has had two players named to the preseason all-conference team.
