Neillsville Downs Amherst, Gets Ready For Big Week

The Neillsville girls volleyball team beat Amherst on Thursday night 3-1 as they get ready for Greenwood and Spencer next week.

Neillsville won the first two games by identical scores of 25-19 then dropped the third game 22-25 before bouncing back and taking game four 25-16. "The team played together more tonight than they have in a long time. We had better hitter coverage and better team talk on the court." said head coach Tammy Matson. " Amherst was a team that had good hard serves and it took us a bit to adjust to that."

Coach Matson said that overall Neillsville's teamwork took a step in the right direction as they prepare for next week?s big games at Greenwood on Tuesday and then Spencer at home on Thursday.
