Regis And Spencer/Columbus Will Battle For Second

Eau Claire Regis will travel to Beell Stadium in Marshfield this Saturday afternoon to battle Spencer/Columbus with second place in the Cloverbelt Conference on the line.

Regis (4-1, 3-1) has outscored opponents 142-75 and outgaining them 344-237 in average yards. Noah Schober and Tommy Cicha lead the team in rushing while quarterback Paul Petit has passed for 133 yards and two TDs. Last week the Ramblers rolled over Colby 42-7 fashion for their fourth straight win after opening the season with a 20-0 loss at Stanley-Boyd.

Spencer/Columbus (4-1, 4-1) meanwhile defeated Cadott 60-14 last week and they are outscoring their opponents 145-62 for the season. The Rockets only loss this year has also come to Stanley-Boyd 21-0. In their win over Cadott, Spencer/Columbus outgained the Hornets 496-186 led by three strong RBs including Mitch Susa, who ran for 181 yards and four TDs, and Tyler Voda, who ran for 112 yards last week. QB Calvin Lenz is a double threat who can run and throw.

Last year Regis won 25-22 in overtime for their 6th straight win over the Rockets. Game time on Saturday is 1 pm.
