Neillsville Volleyball Team Improves To 2-0 In Conference

The Neillsville girls volleyball team improved to 2-0 in the ECC with a 3-2 win over Marshfield Columbus on Tuesday night.The Warriors won the first two games 25-19 and 25-23 but then the Dons took the next two 25-11 and 25-19 forcing a game 5 in which Neillsville won 15-9.

Top setter Krisana Zoromski with 28 assists and 27 good sets
Top attacker Katarina Nemitz with 9 kills and 15 good hits
Top defensive player Taylor Henchen 10 digs
Top blocker Jocelyn Thur 3 solo blocks and 7 assists
Head coach Tammy Matson said, "We pulled out the win and that is important, but we have to play with intensity all the time we are out on the court." She said, "A positive that we had is that we only missed one serve in 5 games."
Neillsville also went all 5 games in their conference win over Loyal/Granton last week. Marshfield Columbus falls to 0-2 in conference play.
The Warriors are at Gilman on Thursday night while Columbus will host Greenwood.
