Neillsville Grows As A Team

Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 -- 10:24 AM

Despite their second double overtime loss of the season last Friday, Neillsville football grew as a program and team and they will continue to work hard as they head to Stanley this Friday.

Coming off a double overtime loss to Altoona last Friday in which the Neillsville football team (1-3) played their best ball of the season, head coach Chris Poeschel knows it won't be easy heading to Stanley this Friday night against the No. 1 ranked Orioles (4-0). He said "Respect all, fear none. Stanley is as good as it gets but there's a reason you play the game. We will give them our best shot regardless of our personnel."

Coach Poeschel said the Warriors grew as a program and a team in the loss to Altoona. "Our team started caring for one another and playing for one another. We will continue to work hard on the things we're not good at and get better."

On the injury front, coach Poeschel said they will know more about starting quarterback Jake Kunze this week.
