Neillsville Booster Club Fastpitch Softball Tourney Results

The Neillsville Booster Club held their ?23rd Annual,? Fastpitch Softball Tournament on Saturday, July 19th in Neillsville.

Eighteen teams competed in the daylong tourney which saw 27 games contested.

In the 16 & under division, WCCV Lady Starz reigned as champion with a perfect 3-0 record. Placing second was the Neillsville Warriors who were coached by Robin & Cassie Harder. Members of the local squad included: Erin Diestler, Jenna Pavlac, Taylor Henchen, Sydney Miller, Dani & Allie Pfeiffer, Krista Krultz, Mindy Schoengarth, Malory Zickert, Brianna Fischer & Katarina Nemitz. Third place was garnered by Spencer with Stratford rounding out the bracket.

In the 14 & under bracket, the Stratford Tigers edged Marshfield to reign as champion. The WCCV Lady Starz nipped Black River Falls for the bronze medals, while the Neillsville ballers crushed the Rapids Rage in the consolation bracket to bring home 5th place. Members of the team who were led by Joe Bethea, Paul Klein and Scott Krultz included: Emily & Erin Voigt, Molly Klein, Brianna Roehl, Kaelyn Krultz, Corrtney Schmidt, Brianna Fischer, Morgan Bethea, Olivia Hanson and Baileigh Johnson.

In the 12 & under bracket the WCCV Lady Starz reigned supreme with Blair-Taylor placing second. The Lady Warriors picked up third place with a victory over Stratford in their final contest of the day. Carrie & Corrtney Schmidt skippered the team who included: Ellie & Kaia Moseid, Riley Voigt, Callie Schmidt, Maggie McDonald, Katie Kunze, Deijanira Diaz, Alli Schoengarth, Vanessa Zickert, Olivia Friemoth, Catrina Craig, & Allison King.

In the final bracket, the 10 & under, ?Rapid Fire? of Wisconsin Rapids was the champion with the Neillsville Warriors capturing the silver medals. Members of their talented squad who are coached by Missy Stockheimer, Sunni Opelt and Taylor Gleisner include: Terren Stockheimer, Bella Opelt, Taylor Boon, Emily Hanson, Delainey Johnson, Kylie Boyer, Emma Moseley, McKenna Auman, Libny Castillo, Amelia Trunkel, Kati Mayer, Haylo Schoen & Jaden Barth. Third place was earned by the WCCV Lady Starz with fourth place being secured by the Stratford Tigers.

The Booster Club would like to thank the many volunteers who helped make the tourney a huge success. All profits are used to support youth sports at Neillsville Schools.
