South Dominates North In WFCA All-Star Games

Monday, July 21st, 2014 -- 10:42 AM

The South All-Stars beat the North in both the small and large school games on Saturday at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh.

Trailing by 7 points after the first quarter, the South team scored the game's next 30 points to pull away for a 33-13 victory over the North at the 2014 WFCA Small School All-Star Game on Saturday in Oshkosh. The North team jumped out to a lead midway through the first quarter when a short pass from Black River Falls' Ethan Young to Barron's Jason Balts resulted in a broken tackle and race for a 67-yard touchdown. Young finished 7 of 13 for 126 yards and a touchdown to lead the North.

The South team scored a 24-8 victory over the North on the scoreboard at the 2014 WFCA Large School All-Star Game, but the margin of victory could have been much greater. The South outgained the North 295-107, ran 19 more offensive plays, and held a 27:33 to 18:49 edge in time of possession.
