Pittsville Falls/McDonell Advances

The WIAA State Spring Baseball Tournament got a late start today at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.Originally scheduled to start at 8 am this morning the Division 4 Semifinals did not get started until 1:15 pm due to the rain and wet field.
In the first semi-final, Lake Country Lutheran improved to 31-0 by beating Pittsville 13-2 in 6 innings. The Panthers, who were led offensively by Austin John who went 2 for 3 with a run scored, end their season at 21-5.
In the second semi-final it was all Chippewa Falls McDonell as they jumped out to a 9-4 lead after 3 innings and went on to win 14-4.
McDonell (19-7) will now play Lake Country Lutheran in the Division 4 Championship scheduled for 9:05 am Thursday morning.
