Neillsville Falls At Sectional; Pittsville Advances To State

The Neillsville Warrior baseball team saw their season come to an end on Tuesday at Riverdale in a Sectional Final loss to Wisconsin Heights 11-3. Pittsville advances to State with a 3-2 win over Wausaukee.Neillsville started off the day on Tuesday with a Sectional Semi-Final shutout of Westby 8-0. Sam Neville went the distance allowing just 4 hits.
In the Sectional Final, Wisconsin Heights took advantage of Warrior mistakes and walks to advance to State with an 11-3 win. Neal Matson started for Neillsville allowing 4 runs, striking out 1 and walking 4. Jason Kurth came on in the 3rd inning, he allowed 3 runs while walking 5. Jake Kunze came on in the 5th, he allowed 3 runs while walking 2. The Warrior defense also commited 5 errors in the game. Neillsville ended their season 22-3.
