Neillsville Is Regional Champs!

The Neillsville girls softball team was crowned Regional Champions after an 11-4 win over Fall Creek on Thursday...earlier in the day the Warriors were officially named Eastern Cloverbelt Conference Champions.Neillsville got off to a 3-0 lead after one inning led by a 2 RBI single by Katarina Nemitz. The Warriors got 1 one in the 2nd inning before Fall Creek closed the gap to 4-3 with 3 runs in the top of the 4th.
Neillsville came right back in the bottom of the 4th with 3 more runs to take a 7-3 lead and then 3 more runs in the 5th to open up a 10-3 lead. Neillsville scored one more run in the 6th and Fall Creek added a run in the 7th to make the final 11-4.
Allie Pfieffer went the distance for the Warriors allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, striking out 4 and walking 2.
Offensively for the Warriors, Kat Nemitz with 3 for 4 with a couple of RBI's, Sammi Larrabee went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored, Katelyn Crothers was also 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Bekka Zickert finished with 3 runs scored for the Warriors.
Neillsville (18-5) moves on to the Sectional Semi-Final on Tuesday at Neillsville.
