Neillsville Softball Team Improves to 10-1

The Neillsville girls softball team pounded out 20 hits enroute to a 26-7 win over Augusta on Friday.The Warriors scored 10 runs on 8 hits in the first inning alone led by Taylor Henchen who was 2 for 2 in the inning with 4 RBI's including a 2 run homer over the centerfield fence. Neillsville scored 9 more runs in the second on 6 hits and then added 3 in the 3rd and 4 more runs in the 4th.
Henchen finished the game going 3 for 5 with 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Dani Pfieffer had 4 hits, Allie Pfieffer went 4 for 4, Sammie Larrabee went 2 for 3 with 5 runs scored, and Jenny Lindner had 3 hits with 4 RBI's to lead the attack.
Allie Pfieffer went the distance on the mound giving up 7 runs on 11 hits, striking out 2 and walking 3.
Neillsville is now 10-0 in the ECC and 10-1 overall. They will host Melrose-Mindoro in a doubleheader on Saturday.
