?Apaches? of Auburndale Are Champs Of Class "B" Tourney

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their 34th, Annual Men?s Class ?B? Basketball Tourney this past weekend at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Twelve teams competed in the day long event. Reigning as champion was the ?Apaches? of Auburndale as the edged ?Scruff?s? of LaCrosse in a highly contested ballgame for the gold ball.
Placing third was ?Marawood Construction? of Statford with ?Loppnows? of Wausau picking up fourth place.
In the Consolation Bracket ?Twigs? of Shawano, ?Where the Heck is Pittsville? of Auburndale, ?Dirty Mark & the Boys? of LaCrosse and ?Geist? of Stanley Boyd were the top performers .
Also participating in the tourney were the ?Silver Dollar? of Thorp, ?Rosario?s Pizza? of Black River Falls, ?Courtesy Auto? of Thorp and ?JBC Printing? of Neillsville.
A great number of Neillsville High School alumni basketball players participated, making for a day of fun and reminiscing. Proceeds of the tournament go towards subsidizing youth sports at the Neillsville Recreation Department.
