Neillsville Baseball Improves To 2-0

The Neillsville baseball team is off to a 2-0 start to the season after a 13-3 win on Tuesday over Owen-Withee in 5 innings.The Warriors pounded out 12 hits led by Neal Matson who went 3 for 4, Nate McDonald 2 for 3 with 2 triples, Sam Neville 2 for 3, and Nate Peterson also 2 for 3. The top 5 in the lineup scored all 13 runs.
On the mound, Neal Matson went the distance giving up 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 11 and walking 2.
Next up for Neillsville is Loyal on Friday at Henry Lukes Baseball Field. Game time is 5 pm.
