Neillsville Boys Pick Up 10th Win

The Neillsville boys basketball team improved to 10-3 on the season with a 59-28 victory over Loyal on Thursday night.The Warriors got off to a little slow start trailing 5-4 in the first quarter but they then ended the first half on a 24 to 2 run to take a 30-7 lead into the locker room. Matt Grottke had a big first half scoring 15 points.
In the second half, the Greyhounds were able to get some shots to fall and trailed 46-21 after 3 and then in the 4th, the Neillsville's Michael Dux had the hot hand with three 3's in the quarter and the Warriors got the win 59-28.
Grottke finished with a game high 20 points while Dux added 18. Cameron Brussow led the Greyhouds with 8 points.
Neillsville stays tied with Owen-Withee atop the ECC at 9-2 while Loyal falls to 1-9 in the conference.
