Leipold Is D3Football.com Coach of the Year

Eleven WIAC individuals have been chosen to the 2013 D3football.com All-America Team, while UW-Whitewater's Cole Klotz was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Lance Leipold the Coach of the Year.Klotz is the third player in program history to receive the defensive award, joining Ryan Kleppe (2006) and Jace Rindahl (2008).
UW-Oshkosh's Austin Blashka and Cole Myhra secured second team recognition, while UW-Platteville's John Kelly and UW-Whitewater's Marcus McLin were third team choices.
Named to the honorable mention team were: UW-Eau Claire's Paul Santi; UW-Platteville's Rob Austin; and UW-Whitewater's Justin Howard, Eric Kindler, Jake Kumerow and Lucas Skibba.
Leipold received the coaching honor for the sixth time in his career after winning the award in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. He directed the Warhawks to the fourth NCAA Division III championship in the last five seasons and their 33rd WIAC crown.
