4th Annual Amateur CBC Boxing Show Results

The 4th Annual Amateur Boxing Show was held on Saturday October 26 at the Neillsville American Legion Post 73. The show was hosted by the Neillsville VFW Post 2241 and Community Boxing Club.There was 19 action packed bouts held, ranging from 70 pounds to 201 pounds. Community Boxing Club competed in five of the nineteen bouts. Boxing at 85 pounds, Calvin Berger of CBC lost to Julio Duran of Alley Cat Boxing of Moline, Illinois by TKO in the 2nd round. Boxing at 105 pounds, Trumale Myers defeated Bryan Ramirez of New Competition Gym of Green Bay by a points decision. Boxing at 178 pounds, Tyler Hiserman lost by TKO in the 2nd round to James Lapinski of Watertown Boxing Club. Boxing at 201 pounds, Willy Quicker lost by TKO in the 2nd round to Jordan James or Moreland Boxing from Milwaukee. Boxing at 165 pounds, National Silver Gloves Runner-up Jake Waltemate lost to Vernon Lee of Rock Island, National Junior Olympic Champion by a points decision.
Special Awards were presented as well. Winner of the Merlin Lindow Outstanding Local Boxer was Cody Sullivan of Wisconsin Rapids Boxing Club. Bout of the Evening was Jake Waltemate and Vernon Lee. Outstanding Boxer of the Show was Christian Sanchez of Supreme Hits Boxing of Madison, Wisconsin.
