UW-La Crosse Wins Fifth Straight WIAC Wrestling Championship

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse won its fifth consecutive title at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Wrestling Championship  at the Multi-Activity Center on Sunday.

The conference crown is the league-leading 20th in program archives for the Eagles, who compiled 168 points. UW-Eau Claire placed second with 141.50 points, UW-Oshkosh third with 115.50, UW-Stevens Point fourth with 101 and UW-Platteville fifth with 77.50.

An All-Sportsmanship Team was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each school. Named to the squad were: UW-Eau Claire’s Eli Audley; UW-La Crosse’s Sam Wenzel; UW-Oshkosh’s Mike Baumann; UW-Platteville’s Luke Pradel; UW-Stevens Point’s Ben Kasten; and UW-Whitewater’s Jake Burford.
