LeBron May Be Done With International Play

Thursday, July 25th, 2013 -- 8:59 AM

Yahoo! Sports reported Wednesday that LeBron James will not play for USA Basketball in the 2014 world championships in Spain and is not expected to play for Team USA in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

James has played for Team USA in three Olympics, winning two gold medals and one bronze since 2004.

The report cited the fact James, who played a lot of basketball while leading the Heat to back-to-back NBA championships the past two season, will be three years older by the time the 2016 Olympics come around, along with the fact his children will be three years older by then, as factors in the speculation about James' international future.

Along with James, the report said fellow veteran players Kobe Bryant (34), Dwyane Wade (31), Chris Bosh (29) and Chris Paul (28) also could be cutting back on how much they'll be playing after the NBA season ends.
