Dads & Lads Awards Handed Out

The Neillsville Rec. Department held their annual Dads & Lads Award picnic on Thursday following the players final summer game.All boys and girls received certificates for their participation.
Teams and their honored players included:
Yankees - Trevon Waltemate, Andrew Hoeser, Sydney Subke, Preston Berg, Kennedy Zank and Ashley Hensiak.
Reds - Chase and Tyla Uptergrove, Kenadi Urban, Colter Dillenbeck, Brooklyn Stanford, and Tucker Johnson
White Sox - Austin Boon, Gracie Schoengarth, Sophie Hanson, Zach Magnus, and Blake Haun.
Twins - Parker Schroeder, Brody Bergemann, Ethan Miller, Owen Hediger, Kaden Dux and Andrew Blum
Following the ceremony ice cream and rootbeer, donated by the Neillsville A & W were enjoyed by all.
Dads and Lads is a baseball program for 6 year old boys and girls which stresses parental involvement and concentrates on the fundamentals of the sport with no emphasis on winning or losing.
The Rec. Department would like to thank the volunteer coaches of the program; Scott Uptergrove, Clint Urban, Larry Hoeser, Michelle Grap, Travis Berg, Al Schoengarth, Jeff Hanson, Luke Bergemann, Randy Magnus and Lucus Haun.
