Juniorette Softball Awards Ceremony Held

The Neillsville Rec. Department held their annual "Juniorette Awards Picnic" on Tuesday at the school softball diamonds.

All girls who participated in the program received certificates.

Teams and their honored players included:

Angels - Bella Opelt, Emily Hanson, Kati Mayer, Lauren Langreck, Joi Reimer, Malana Gurney, Abbi Elmhorst, Emma Vance and Paris Opelt.

Phillies - Jaden Barth, McKenna Auman, Kylie Boyer, Morgan Gurney, Ariana Rochester, Karsen Czarnecki, Alexa Ball, Delainey Rochester, and Amelia Trunkel

Orioles - Terren Stockheimer, Taylor Boon, Brooke Magnus, Maggie Hoeser, Lizzy Jorgensen, MacKenzie Keller, Kattie Roidt, Abigail Mathis and Marie Jorgensen.

Royals - Sara Dux, Haylo Schoen, Emma Moseley, Ava Mortenson, Dakota Breitung, Madelline Waters, Kyra Rakovec, Courtney Oldham, Ella King and Delainey Johnson.

Sluggers - Lilly Opelt, Callee Mohr, Jada Gurney, Vickie Ratsch, Kelly Boon, Amanda Jensen, Cali Moseid, Teresa Cortez, and Olivia Koprek.

Crickets - Lainey Horn, Morgan Elmhorst, Lilly Schutz, Macci Elmhorst, Paige Voigt, Kylee Hamm and Abigail Koepp.

Following the ceremony, ice cream and rootbeer, donated by A & W, were enjoyed by everyone.

Juniorette Softball is a program for girls ages 7 to 10 that stresses the fundamentals of the game with very little emphasis on winning or losing.
