8-Man Football All-Star Game Saturday

8-man football was played in Wisconsin for the first time since the 1970's and Saturday it's the first 8-man All-Star Game.The WIAA implemented the change to 8-man football this past season to allow school's with declining enrollment to still be able to field a team. In 8-man football, the field is shorter and more narrow, and there are three less players on the field at a time. But coaches and players say the game itself is very much the same.
The All-Star game is set for 1:00 p.m. at Pug Lund Field in Rice Lake. The South team is comprised of players from the Madison and Milwaukee areas. The North team is made up of players from Luck, Bruce, Prairie Farm, New Auburn, Northwood and Three Lakes.
