Brewers Make Roster Moves

The Milwaukee Brewers made several moves to shake up their roster on Monday.The Brewers acquired third baseman Juan Francisco from the Atlanta Braves to the Milwaukee Brewers for minor league pitcher Tom Keeling.
They also released veteran infielder Alex Gonzalez, who batted .177 (20-for-113) with one home run and eight RBIs in 41 games this season.
Second baseman Scooter Gennett was recalled from Class AAA Nashville, where he was batting .297 with one home run, 13 RBIs and eight stolen bases in 50 games this season and the Brewers also optioned right-handed pitcher Mike Fiers to Class AAA Nashville. He was 1-4 with a 7.25 earned-run average in 11 games this season.
