WIAA Softball Brackets Released/Neillsville Receives #1 Seed

The WIAA Girls Softball Tournament brackets have been released in Divisions 2 thru 4 and Neillsville has received the No. 1 seed in their Division III RegionalWith the No. 1 seed, Neillsville will get a bye in the first round of the WIAA State Girls Softball Tournament on May 16th. Their first game will now be on Tuesday, May 21st at Neillsville at 5pm against the winner of Cadott and Stanley-Boyd.
Other games in the Regional on May 16th include Mondovi at Eau Claire Regis and Osseo-Fairchild at Fall Creek. The winners of those games would play each other on Tuesday, May 21st.
The Regional Final is scheduled for Thursday, May 23rd.
Spencer also received a No. 1 seed and a bye in the first round in Division III. They will play the winner of the Loyal/Granton vs. Stratford matchup in the second round.
In Division 4, Thorp received a No. 1 seed and a bye in the first round. They will play the winner of the Rib Lake vs. Prentice matchup in the second round.
Also in Division 4, Greenwood will host Owen-Withee in a first round game on May 16th and Marshfield Columbus will be at WI Rapids Assumption.
In Division 2, Black River Falls will host Mauston and New Richmond is at Altoona on May 16th.
