Bill Ferrario, the former offensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers, is the scheduled feature speaker at the 30th Annual WIAA Scholar Athlete Awards Ceremony to be held at the Jefferson Street Inn in Wausau this Sunday.

Ferrario played three seasons as a reserve offensive guard and center with the Green Bay Packers from 2001-03. He started on the Packers? special teams units including kickoff returns, point-afters and field goals. In addition, he played tight end for goal line and short-yardage situations.

He spent the 2004 off-season with the Washington Redskins and was eventually signed by the Carolina Panthers, where he finished the final season of his career.

He was one of the key components of Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne?s record-setting success with the Badgers, opening holes for the NCAA?s career rushing leader for three seasons. During his time at UW, the Badgers won two Big Ten titles and two Rose Bowls.
