Northwoods League YouTube Channel To Bring Live Games

Monday, April 29th, 2013 -- 1:28 PM

The Northwoods League is launching a YouTube channel this summer that will provide fans with more than 560 NWL games streamed live during the 2013 regular and post season on the Northwoods League YouTube channel and through a YouTube video player on northwoodsleague.tv.

Dick Radatz, Jr., Northwoods League President said, ?This partnership allows us to continue as the leader of live streaming baseball games at this level of baseball,? He said, ?We are extremely excited about the exposure this alliance will give the Northwoods League.?

The Northwoods League season on YouTube will lead off with opening night on Wednesday, May 29th, with all 16 teams in action. The eight games on opening night will feature the 2012 defending Summer Collegiate World Series Champion La Crosse Loggers along with the other 15 NWL teams boasting the top collegiate players from around the country.

Throughout the season, Northwoods League fans won?t miss a moment of live regular and post season action as all of the league?s games will be available either online through your PC or on the Northwoods League?s app for mobile devices and tablets.

In addition, fans will be able to access the live games on the Northwoods League?s YouTube channel via all of the league?s 16 team web sites. They can also access archived versions of the live games to view on demand through the YouTube channel and the league?s web site shortly after the conclusion of the contests. Other available content will include highlights and pre and post-game recaps from the league?s studio in Rochester, MN.

The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other Summer Collegiate League in North America. The 2013 season will mark the 20th season of Northwoods League baseball. One hundred former players have gone on to play Major League baseball.
