Poor Field Conditions Alter WIAC Schedules

Poor field conditions and unpleasant weather throughout the state of Wisconsin have not only altered schedules in high school baseball and softball but they have also resulted in significant changes to WIAC baseball and softball conference games scheduled for this weekend.In baseball, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Platteville were scheduled to play a pair of doubleheaders in Platteville on Saturday and Sunday. Those games will now be held at UW-Whitewater beginning at noon on Friday and at 10 am on Saturday.
In softball, UW-Stevens Point was originally scheduled to host UW-Eau Claire on Friday and UW-Superior on Saturday. The Blugolds were initially slated to host the Yellowjackets on Sunday. Now, UW-Platteville will host a ?cluster? of contests involving UW-Eau Claire, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout and UW-Superior. The games will be held at Morrow Field and Pioneer Stadium.

9:00 a.m. UW-Stevens Point vs. UW-Eau Claire (Pioneer Stadium)
11:00 a.m. UW-Eau Claire vs. UW-Superior (Pioneer Stadium)
1:00 p.m. UW-Stevens Point vs. UW-Superior (Pioneer Stadium)
Sunday:
9:00 a.m. UW-Stevens Point vs. UW-Superior (Pioneer Stadium)
11:00 a.m. UW-Stevens Point vs. UW-Eau Claire (Pioneer Stadium)
1:00 p.m. UW-Eau Claire vs. UW-Superior (Pioneer Stadium)
