Badger Softball Team Nationally Ranked

For the first time since 2002, the Wisconsin Badger women?s softball team finds itself back in the national spotlight.The Badgers are ranked No. 25 in this week?s edition of the USA Today/NFCA Division I softball poll, while making their program debut in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll with a No. 23 ranking.
'Wisconsin's' (27-4 overall, 5-1 Big Ten) hot start to the season has all happened away from Madison, as the Badgers wrap up a 34-game road swing with a Big Ten series at Minnesota this weekend.
Wisconsin is scheduled to open the season at Goodman Diamond next Wednesday against Northern Iowa.
