Men's Class "B" Basketball Results

The Neillsville Rec Department held their 33rd annual Men's Class "B" Basketball Tourney this past weekend at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Twelve teams competed in the day-long event.
Reigning as champions were the "Apaches" of Auburndale as they edged the "Twigs" of Shawano in highly contested game for the gold ball. Placing third was the "Geist" of Stanley with "Loppnows" of Wausau picking up fourth place.
In the consolation bracket - "Players Lounge" of Stevens Point, "Where The Heck is Pittsville" of Auburndale, "Scruffy's" of LaCrosse and "Marawood Construction" of Stratford were the top performers.
Also participating in the tourney were the "Silver Dollar" of Thorp, "Messman" of Colby, "Young Gumz" of Stevens Point and "JBC Screenprinting" of Neillsville.
A great number of Neillsville High School alumni basketball players participated, making for a day of fun and reminiscing. Proceeds of the tournament go towards subsidizing youth sports at the Neillsville Rec Department.
