Snow Cover Affecting Spring Sports

The snow cover is starting to affect the high school baseball and softball early season action.Numerous area early season baseball and softball scrimmages and games are being cancelled due to the deep snow cover.
The Neillsville vs. Alma Center baseball scrimmage that was scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled. Also the baseball and softball games with Pittsville on Thursday have also been cancelled.
With the snow cover continuing to linger, games that are scheduled for early April will also likely be cancelled.
Meanwhile the Neillsville boys and girls track teams will host an indoor meet at the Fieldhouse on Thursday with Granton, Alma Center Lincoln, Loyal, Owen-Withee, Pittsville, and Fall Creek participating starting at 4:30 pm.
