3 ECC Girls BB Teams In Sectional Finals

The top 3 girls basketball teams from the Eastern Cloverbelt are still alive in the WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament Series..The Neillsville Warriors improved to 25-0 on the season with a 46-28 Sectional Semi-Final win over LaCrosse Aquinas. Neillsville had three players in double figures, led by Jenny Lindner with 16 points, Molly Attoe had 11 and Caitlynne Naughton added 10. The Warriors will now take on Ladysmith in the Sectional Final on Saturday night at River Falls at 7 pm. Neillsville beat Ladysmith earlier this season 60-19.
The Owen-Withee Blackhawks advanced to the Sectional Final with a 73-46 win over Eau Claire Immanuel. Owen-Withee, now 23-3 will take on unbeaten South Shore at Spooner on Saturday night at 7pm.
The Colby Hornets (19-6) downed Marathon in their Sectional Semi-Final on Thursday night, 36-30 to advance to the Sectional Final at Chippewa Falls on Saturday where they will take on Colfax for the right to go to Green Bay.
