Neillsville Girls Are Regional Champs

The Neillsville girls basketball team improved to 24-0 on the season with a 65-27 Regional Final victory over Arcadia on Saturday night.Neillsville got out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter and outscored the Raiders 11-7 in the second quarter to lead by 12 at the half. Caitlynne Naughton and Jenny Lindner led Neillsville in the half with 12 and 11 points respectively.
The Warriors came strong in the third quarter outscoring Arcadia 18-5 to open up a 47-22 lead heading into the final quarter. In the 4th, Neillsville again outscored Arcadia 18-5 to make the final 65-27.
Naughton finished with a game high 18 points while Lindner finished with 16.
Neillsville (24-0) has now won 52 straight and will now play LaCrosse Aquinas in a Sectional Semi-Final on Thursday night at Osseo-Fairchild. Game time is
7pm and you can hear it live on 92.7 FM WPKG.
