Neillsville Girls Are Regional Champs/Other Area Regional Scores

The Neillsville girls basketball team won a Division 3 Regional Championship on Saturday night by beating Osseo-Fairchild 46-40 at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.  The Warriors trailed 27-22 at the half, but outscored the Thunder in the second half 24-13 to get the win.  Paris Opelt and Bella Opelt each scored 7 points in the second half as Paris scored a team high 14 points and Bella added 12.  Madison Hugdahl led Osseo-Fairchild with 14 points.  Neillsville improves to 20-1 and with the win, head coach John Gaier picked up his 400th career win.  The Warriors will play in a Sectional Semi-Final next week.
