Notre Dame Moving to ACC

ESPN is reporting that Notre Dame will join the Atlantic Coast Conference as a full member with the exception of football, but will play five football games annually against ACC teams.The ACC has scheduled a news conference for this afternoon in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Irish will join the ACC as soon as it can exit the Big East. The Big East currently requires members to pay $5 million and to provide 27 months' notice to exit. Notre Dame joins Syracuse and Pittsburgh in bolting the Big East for the ACC and will play traditional powers like Duke and North Carolina.
