Mason Learman

MASON R. LEARMAN, age 22, of Greenwood, WI, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026.  Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Friday, July 10, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Greenwood, with Rev. Matthew Szymanski officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9am until time of service.

Mason Robert Learman was born on October 8, 2003 in Marshfield, WI, the son of James A. and Brenda L. (Arch) Learman.  He was raised and received his education in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 2022.  After high school, Mason enrolled at Chippewa Valley Technical College and completed their 9-month course in Gas Utilities.  Upon graduation, he accepted a job with Q3 Contracting, a gas utilities company in Little Canada, MN.  Mason began as a gas line fuser, and was promoted to an operating foreman for the company, mainly working in the Owatonna/Faribault, MN area until the present time.

Mason was known for his larger-than-life personality; he brought laughter and light wherever he went.  He had an unforgettable smile, the longest eyelashes that everyone noticed, and a quick wit that always came with the perfect one-liner.  His generosity, heart of gold, and unwavering kindness will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, never hesitating to put others before himself. 

Mason had many interests including snowmobiling, fishing, riding around in his UTV, playing softball, being outdoors, hanging out with family and friends, but his favorite was spoiling his nephew, Maverick (little Mav-man).  Whether he was carving through the trails or casting a line, the outdoors was his escape and his passion.  Mason embraced life to the fullest and made every moment count.  

Mason will be dearly missed by his parents, Jim and Brenda Learman, of Greenwood; his brother, Kody (Alexis) Learman and their son Maverick, of Greenwood; his sister, Kaylee (Kolt) Wegner of Lomira, WI; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Valeria Arch of Greenwood; his paternal grandparents, James and Nancy Learman of Kirksville, MO; his great-grandmother, Dorothy Ossmann of Loyal, WI; his significant other, Brianna Horn, of Thorp, WI; other relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Donald Ossmann, and his cousin, Bennett Arch.
