Daniel Luther Boatman Anderson, 21, of Eau Claire, WI, left us way too soon on April 23, 2026.

Dan was born on January 29, 2005, to Reverend Chad and Courtney (Thompson) Anderson.  He was the oldest of four siblings.   From an early age, Dan showed the world what a gentle soul looks like.  He was kind and honest. He loved his family, friends, and pets.

Dan attended school in Mondovi, Crivitz, and Neillsville, where he graduated with the Neillsville class of 2023.  After high school he worked at Menards Distribution Center in Eau Claire while he thought about what his future may bring.

Over the years Dan enjoyed golf, video games, movies, and many trips to Culver’s and Kwik Trip.  He also was known as a lover of Coca-Cola.  More recently, he found peace in weekly drives to the family farm where he would run with his dogs and cuddle with his cats.

Left behind with broken hearts are his parents, Chad and Courtney; sister Sella (Landon Barsamian) Anderson;  brothers John Anderson and Paul “Augie” Anderson;  grandmothers Joan Davis, Mary Anderson, and Sandy Rolstad; aunts Christine Thompson and Jill (Zach Montgomery) Anderson; great aunts and uncles Karen (Pat) Callahan, Bobbi Tiegs, Vicki Tiegs, Sue Tiegs; cousins Robert and Allison Montgomery; Anna (Sam Helman) Callahan, Amy Callahan; Jeff (Elly) Tiegs and their children Bella, Macy, Grady, Hayes; his wonderful group of friends Dontae, Isaac, Kaiden, Elliot, Chris, Derek, Andy, Eli, and Cade;  his dogs Magnum, Cabela, and Lola; and his cats Birdie and Carl.

Dan was preceded in death by grandfathers Daniel Anderson and Luther Thompson; cousin Clare Montgomery; great uncles and aunts Paul and Becky Thompson; Tom and Kris Anderson; Dan Tiegs.

Chad and Courtney encourage parents and children to hug each other and say “I love you.”

A Memorial Service for Daniel will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Bishop Martin Halom will officiate. Music will be provided by Sue Johnson, organist. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
