Patricia A. Kitzhaber

PATRICIA A. KITZHABER, age 86, of Greenwood, WI, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Waterford Assisted Living Facility in Colby, WI. Visitation will be held Friday, April 24th from 5:00-8:00 PM, and on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00-10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 10:30 AM with the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood. Rev. Keith Kitzhaber will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Kitzhaber, Zechariah Kitzhaber, Andrew Kitzhaber, William Kitzhaber, Christopher Kitzhaber, Josh Zimmerman, Jonathan Ross, Tanner Oertel, Mason Oertel, Brennan Zimmerman and Marshall Zimmerman.
Patricia “Peachy” Davis was born June 14, 1939, the daughter of Truman Davis and Myrtie Mae (Peaslee) Davis. She was raised and received her education in Granton, attending and graduating from Granton High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Bernard Kitzhaber at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on October 29, 1957.
Patricia is one of 6 children in her family and is preceded in death by her parents Truman and Myrtie (Peaslee) Davis and siblings Warren Davis, Marvin Davis, Angeline (Davis) Schultz, and Shirley Davis. She is survived by one sister: Ila Mae (Davis) Wolf of Nekoosa, WI.
Patricia and Bernard had 9 children: Alan Kitzhaber in Eau Claire, WI; Ann Ross (Kitzhaber) in Suamico, WI; Gerry & Eriko (Saso) Kitzhaber in Woodbridge, VA; Beth (Kitzhaber) and Doyle Zimmerman in Stratford, WI; Lori Kitzhaber in Plover, WI; Daniel and Christine (Knoeck) Kitzhaber in Marshfield, WI; Peter and Michelle (Kuhlman) Kitzhaber in Colby, WI; Keith Kitzhaber in Abbotsford, WI; Amy (Kitzhaber) and Matt Gross in Minneapolis, MN.
Including 14 grandchildren: Children of Ann & David Ross: Jonathan Ross and wife Shuara; Children of Gerry & Eriko Kitzhaber: LeeAnn Kitzhaber, Ryan Kitzhaber; Children of Beth (Kitzhaber) and Doyle Zimmerman: Christina and husband Todd Stensberg, Josh and wife Kariann (Grajkowski) Zimmerman; Children of Daniel and Christine (Knoeck) Kitzhaber: Veronica (Kitzhaber) and husband Robert Wack, Zechariah and wife Brooke (Beeksma) Kitzhaber, Jeremiah Kitzhaber(deceased), Rebekah and husband Austin Music, Catherine, and Elizabeth; Children of Peter and Michelle (Kuhlman) Kitzhaber: Andrew and wife Shannon (Murphy) Kitzhaber, William and Michaela (Suski) Kitzhaber, and Christopher Kitzhaber.
Including 10 great-grandchildren: Children of Christina (Zimmerman) and husband Todd Stensberg: Tanner and wife Julianne (Muscato) Oertel, and Mason Oertel; Children of Josh and Kariann (Grajkowski) Zimmerman: Brennan and Marshall; Children of Rebekah (Kitzhaber) and Austin Music: Josephine Wallace and Isabella Music; Children of Veronica (Kitzhaber) and husband Robert Wack: Agnes Wack; Children of Andrew & Shannon (Murphy) Kitzhaber: Maria Kitzhaber, Anna Kitzhaber, and Fulton Kitzhaber.
Including 1 great-great-grandchild: Children of Tanner and wife Julianne (Muscato) Oertel: Theodore Oertel.
Patricia had many interests, including cooking, gardening, crocheting, sewing quilts, collecting souvenir spoons, blue willow plates, and loved spending time with her family, and she greatly valued the company of a cat on her lap. A prodigious cook, she enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, trying new recipes and keeping volumes of recipes from other churches and towns. She enjoyed dancing and in particular square dancing, camping trips & sleepovers with her grandchildren; family meant everything to her. Bernard went with her on a guided tour of Germany; and she also enjoyed trips to Branson Missouri to take in the music shows. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. She served as a member of the St. Ann’s Society in Greenwood. She also sang as a member of the Clark County Choraliers and the St. Mary’s Choir.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the St. Mary’s Memorial Fund or Casa Hogar (Diocesan mission in Peru).
