Carol Boon, age 88, of Neillsville, WI, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Riverside Assisted Living Facility in Neillsville.

Carol Marie Nauertz was born on July 5, 1937, in Neillsville, WI, the daughter of Frank and Alice (Heintz) Nauertz. She attended St. Mary Grade School, and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1955, and then worked as a secretary for Fel-Gross Chevrolet. On May 17, 1969, she was united in marriage to Donald John Boon at St. Mary Catholic Church in Neillsville. They resided, and raised their children near the Christie area.

Carol was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Neillsville, and it’s PCCW organization. She was a member of the Purple Passion Patooties Red Hat Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking and hosting holiday dinners for her family. She also enjoyed shopping, the occasional visits to the casino, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers right up to the end. 

She is survived by her husband, Donald, two children, Amy (Jeff) Hanson of Neillsville and Mike Boon of Neillsville, 10 grandchildren, Madeline, Olivia, Emily, and Sophie Hanson, and Taylor, Kelly, Austin, Claire, Erica and Jesse Boon, a sister, Mary Ann Zickert of Neillsville, three brothers, Tom (Edith) Nauertz, Gary (Mary) Nauertz and Larry Nauertz all of Neillsville, WI, and a special Goddaughter, Lisa Schosser of Kewaskum, WI, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alice Nauertz, a brother, James Nauertz, a brother-in-law, Ronell Zickert, a niece, Debbie Jo Zickert, and a nephew, James Nauertz Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Celebrant will be Fr. Steven Weller, with music provided by Rebekkah Lehn, organist and St. Mary’s Choir. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Neillsville. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church.
