Kenneth Pfeiffer

Kenneth Pfeiffer, age 88, of Neillsville, WI, died Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Neillsville Retirement Community, where he has resided the past few months.
Kenneth Clarence Pfeiffer was born on July 23, 1936, in Burlington, WI, the son of Clarence and Alice (nee Ketterhagen) Pfeiffer. He left school to help on the family farm. He was united in marriage to Helen Champeny on April 14, 1956 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington, WI. They lived in Walworth County for ten years and then moved to Clark County in 1966 to a farm. Ken farmed until 1978, and then sold the farm and moved into Neillsville. He then worked for Kuhl Implement, Kuehn Implement, and Branstiter Brothers, a farm equipment and supply company located in Greenwood, WI. Ken retired at the age of 62, and in his retirement, he took pride in caring for the yards of many homes and banks in the area.
When he wasn’t working, Ken enjoyed going out to his cabin by The HighGround, and making wood. Those that knew Ken, know of his love for John Deere tractors, and that he loved to tell a story or two.
He is survived by four children, Darlene (Glenn) Kuehnel of Marshall, IL, Dale (Bill Livingston) Pfeiffer of Oklahoma City, OK, Julie (Ivan) Karl of Neillsville, WI and Gerald “Jerry” (Tonya) Pfeiffer of Neillsville, WI, ten grandchildren, Jill Kuehnel, Scott (Iris) Kuehnel, Whitney (Dan) Potvin, LeAnn (Tyler) Ostrowski, Dessa (Lucas) Mathews, Samantha (Caleb) Grap, Kendra (Cody) Friemoth, Allison (Bryce) DeSmet, Danielle (fiancé, Dan Raak) Pfeiffer and Tyler (fiancé, MacKenzie Person) Pfeiffer, seven great grandchildren, a sister, Deanna Frank of Janesville, WI, a brother-in-law, Kenneth Kerkman of Burlington, WI, and three sisters-in-law, Jeneil Border of Elkhorn, WI, Kathi Ruh of Menasha, WI, and Roberta Pfeiffer of Kenosha, WI, along with his good friend, and lawn care partner, Karen Gilbert of Neillsville, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 2020, his parents, a sister, Lorna Kerkman, brothers, James and Charles Pfeiffer, and brothers-in-law, Otto Frank, Bernard Ruh, Richard Border and Thomas Champeny.
