Rodney Hoeper

RODNEY C. "HIPPIE" HOEPER, age 72, of Hewitt, WI, passed away at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI on Thursday, January 16, 2025.  Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Rodney Charles Hoeper was born on October 27, 1952 in Marshfield, WI to Charles W. and Violet (Tieman) Hoeper.  He was raised and received his education in Neillsville, WI until his parents moved to Greenwood, WI, where he attended high school.  After high school, Rodney worked as an auto mechanic most of his life.  He worked for a few years at V&H Automotive in Marshfield, before starting his own business in Greenwood.  He was united in marriage to Lynn Kotzen at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenwood.  They later divorced.  Rodney later moved to the Marshfield area where he lived the rest of his life.

He had many interests, but especially loved fishing, hunting, and shooting pool.

Rodney is survived by three children: Brandy (Glen) Suda, Christopher Hoeper, and Stacy (Jonathan) Anding; several grandchildren; three siblings: Todd Hoeper, Jeff (Joan) Hoeper, and Tammi (Dave) Miller; his cousin/best friend, Scott Oelhafen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Susan (Tom) Pankratz.
