Marian Wibben

Marian E. (nee Voge) Wibben, 101, passed peacefully, Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Wells Nature View Living Center, Marshfield, while under the care of St. Croix Hospice services.

A Funeral service and a celebration of life, for Marian will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 17, 2025 at Christ Lutheran Church, 308 West Linden Street, Abbotsford, WI. A service of Christian burial will be officiated by Pastor Donald Bruce.  Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery following funeral proceedings.  Pallbearers will be Grandsons Steven Wibben, Brian Polzin, Craig Polzin, Jeremy Baxter, Elijah Wibben and Great-Grandson Ryan Lynn.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 9:30am until time of service on Friday at the church.  The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.  

Marian E. Wibben was born March 18, 1923 in Park Falls, WI, to parents Adolf Edward and Grace (nee Miller) Voge. On March 18, 1941, (her 18 th birthday), Marian married Robert H. Wibben (son to Nicholas and Emma Wibben) in Dorchester by Reverend John Brandt. Marian and Robert shared nearly 61 years of marriage and blessings prior to Robert’s passing January 1, 2002. Together, they raised six children and built their lives in the Colby/Abbotsford communities where Marian devoted her time as a homemaker, wife and mother.

Marian will be missed and fondly remembered by her surviving children: Donald (Diane) Wibben of Medford, WI, Bonnie Polzin of Kaukauna, WI, Nancy (Wilhelm/Bill) Wolff of Irma, WI, and Dennis (Darla) Wibben of Marshfield, WI as well as a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) Wibben of New Holstein, WI, and a son-in-law, Ronald Baxter of Owen, WI. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren;  numerous step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Marian in death are her parents, Adolf and Grace Voge; husband, Robert Wibben; a sister, Irene Frane; two brothers: Edward Voge and Donald Voge; a son, Duwayne Wibben; a daughter, Judy Baxter; a son-in-law, Ted Polzin and a grandchild, Douglas Polzin.
