Audrey Lenz

AUDREY I. LENZ, age 94, of Greenwood, WI, passed away at Riverside Assisted Living in Neillsville, WI on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, WI.  Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate, and burial will follow in the Greenwood City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10am until time of service.

Audrey Iris Duda was born on March 2, 1930 in the Town of Weston, Clark County, WI, the daughter of Joseph A. and Edith B. (Timerson) Duda.  She was raised and received her education in Athens, WI, and graduated from Greenwood High School in Greenwood, WI.  Audrey was united in marriage to Donald F. Lenz on December 18, 1948 at St. John's Lutheran Parsonage in Stonebank, WI.  They farmed together on his family farm until retiring in 1985.  They sold the farm in 1993 and moved into Greenwood.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood, where she served as the president of the Ladies Aide for many years.  After the church closed in the late 1990's, Audrey became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, WI.

She had many interests, but especially enjoyed crafting projects of crocheting and plastic canvas creations, quilting with the ladies at church, sewing, and singing.  Audrey crocheted many baby hats that she donated to newborn babies at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

Audrey is survived by three daughters: Bonnie (Chris) Clark of Eau Claire, WI, Diana Lenz of Sheboygan, WI, Kay (Gary) Capen of Greenwood, WI; one granddaughter, Megan Clark; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, on January 9, 2012; and two brothers: Donald and Lenoy Duda.
