Thomas Susa

THOMAS L. SUSA, age 74, of Greenwood, WI, passed away at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI on Friday, December 20, 2024.  Per his requests, private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Thomas Lee Susa was born on April 14, 1950 in Marshfield, WI, to Robert and Dahlia I. (Butterbrodt) Susa.  He was raised on the family farm, rural Greenwood, and received his education in area schools, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1968.  Tom then attended Milwaukee School of Engineering where he received his Associates Degree in 1971, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1973.  After college, he went to work at Enger Kress in West Bend, WI, a leather factory specializing in manufacturing wallets and purses.  In 1978, Tom moved back to Greenwood and farmed with his father.  He retired in 2006 and remained on the farm until his death.

He had many interests, but especially loved astronomy and farming.

Tom was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenwood.

He is survived by five siblings: Jacob (Diane) Susa of Marshfield, Judy (Bob) Oleson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Patty Susa of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Penny Smith of Marshfield, Joe (Sharon) Susa of Elk Mound, WI; his sister-in-law/caregiver: Marlene (George) Kippenhan of Wausau; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank Ryan Susa, Tom Lokken, and Jim Christie for their care and support these past several months.
