Teresa Glaza

Teresa Faye Glaza, 60, passed away surrounded by her family on August 31, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on January 23, 1964 at St. Joseph's hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Irma and Carl Hirsch.

Teresa was the 10th child in her family. As a child, she would be found playing with her siblings, swinging from the kitchen table, bareback horse riding, and swimming at Dexterville. Teresa attended Pittsville Elementary School, PJ Jacobs in Steven's Point, and graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1982.

While working at a grocery store, Teresa met Bob, and they both quickly fell in love. They were married two years later on May 14,1983 in a double wedding with her sister Kristal and brother-in-law Pedda (Richard) Jacobson.

After graduating CVTC with a degree in computer programming, Teresa worked at Menards corporate office as a computer analyst. She then worked at FDC Donnelly and Figi’s after relocating to Neillsville with Bob. In 2003, she stayed home supporting and caring for her family.

Teresa would light up a room when she walked in and was the life of the party at times! She was always being goofy and enjoyed making people laugh. There was no one with a bigger heart, and she would help anyone she could. Her talents and interests included crafting, screaming for the Packers, relaxing with a good movie or watching Judge Judy, fishing, camping and traveling. An avid animal lover, Teresa loved being with her canine best friends. The necessities in life were never overlooked, and Teresa loved waking up to enjoy her morning coffee, her afternoon coffee, and her evening coffee. But what she loved the most was spending time with family and being a mom. She created a great life for her husband, two daughters and two grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Glaza, her children, Karissa (Derek) Hull, Mary (Matt) Hiebing, and her grandsons Paxton Hull and McCoy Hull. She also survived by her siblings: Carol Gardner, Dennis (Geri) Hirsch, Susan (Phil) Beavers, Mary Hirsch,

Gale (Jim) Olds, Dr. Patty (Tom) Hale, John Hirsch, Kristal (Richard) Jacobson, and Rochelle (Steve) Todd. She also survived by many nieces and nephews. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents,Carl and Irma Hirsch; her sister, Linda Frost; and brothers-in-laws Jim Gardner and Patrick Johnson.

A celebration of life will be held at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville on November 9, 2024. Visitation will be at 10 am and service at 11 am. Instead of wearing black, you may honor Teresa by wearing her favorite color green.
