Barbara McDonald

Barbara McDonald, age 57, of Loyal, WI, formerly of Neillsville, WI, died Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.

Barbara Jean McDonald was born on January 23, 1967, in Neillsville, WI, the daughter of Robert and Donna (Mohr) McDonald. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1985 and was united in marriage to Kevin Hale on October 4, 1986 in Neillsville. She worked at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville as a cook, and as a cashier at Family Dollar until pursuing her CNA license, and going to work for the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville. She later attended Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids and earned a Certified Medical Technician certificate. Along with her nursing jobs, Barbie also worked for Westwood Kitchens in Neillsville, and currently she was the food service manager at Kwik Trip in Loyal.

Barbie was known for her love of animals, and her huge M&M collection. She had a huge heart, and would give you the shirt off her back in an instant. Barbie was a kind-hearted person who took care of everyone else first. In her spare time, she loved crafting and crocheting. Barbie had an infectious laugh, and she will be missed by all that were lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin, two daughters, Kayla (Ben) Hale of Greenwood, WI, and Tara (Greg) Hale of Neillsville, WI, five grandchildren, Elijah, Ezekial, Ealiyah, Melodi, Monika, her mother, Donna Bennett of Longwood, WI, a sister, Sheri (Scott) Hale of Granton, WI, a brother, Jason (Christina) McDonald of Georgia, a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert.

A Celebration of Barbie’s life will be held at Tock Field (Park St) August 3, 2024 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
