Patricia Carol Miller

Patricia Carol Miller, age 84 died Friday April 26th, 2024, at Global Pointe Senior Living/Memory Care in Golden Valley, Minnesota after a decade-long journey with Alzheimer’s.

Patricia was born to Harold and Margaret (Calhoun) Round on October 15, 1939, in Little Falls, MN. With blonde curls and a sweet smile, she was the apple of her father’s eye. As a middle child she learned to be tough and to hold her own with her brothers Don, Ray and Tom looking out for her. Her father worked for Foley Brothers Construction (bridge builders), thus her family moved frequently when she was young. She graduated from Aurora High School in Hoyt Lakes, MN. Pat met her true love Jerry while in Hoyt Lakes and they were united in marriage at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. They remained married for 61 years until the time of Jerry’s passing on June 13, 2020.

Pat and Jerry raised their four children in Golden Valley. Patricia worked as a homemaker while the children were young. She later was employed with General Mills in the quality control department, and as an office assistant for both Atlas Furniture and Courage Cards. Pat and Jerry moved to Buffalo, MN after Jerry retired to be near his brother David. They later moved into Global Pointe Senior Living in Golden Valley in 2020.

They loved traveling to various countries and spent several years enjoying winters in Florida. They were active in their church and treasured time and travels with their many friends. Pat enjoyed spending time with family, camping, dancing, reading, golf, gardening and card making. While Jerry was a volunteer firefighter in Golden Valley, Pat was on the Women’s Auxiliary board and was elected to publish the firefighter’s newsletter.

People who knew Pat enjoyed her great sense of humor, joyful personality and her feistiness. She was a pillar of strength providing support and a listening ear to others who turned to her. Pat was a strong and wise woman who will be missed deeply.

Patricia is survived by her children Peggy Grap-Neillsville WI, Mary (Jack) Carter-Peabody MA, Timothy Miller-Corcoran MN and Jeffrey (Ronda) Miller-Minneapolis MN; her grandchildren Kaleb (Sammie) Grap, Logan (Katie) Grap, Raymond Carter, Maddie and Garrett Miller, Grant, Gavin and Ava Miller, her great grandchildren; Layla, Eddie and Ivy Grap, and Eiley and Livvy Grap.

Her brothers Donald (Jaunita) Round and Thomas (Karen) Round, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerome LeRoy Miller, parents Harold and Margaret (Peggy) Round, brothers Robert and Raymond Round, and parents-in-law LeRoy and Helen Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 22nd, at St Joseph’s Catholic Community in New Hope, MN. Father Terry Rasmussen will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Private interment will be held at Saint John’s Catholic Cemetery in Darwin, MN.

The family sincerely respects and appreciates the care providers and staff at Global Pointe Memory Care who treated Pat with compassion and for holding a special place in their hearts for her for the past four years.

As Patricia would say, “See ya round like a donut.”
