Earl Dayton

Earl A. Dayton, 92, of Neillsville, WI died on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Marshfield Medical Center-Marshfield.

Earl Dayton Was born January 11th, 1931, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Howard & Winnifred (Schumacker) Dayton. He Graduated High School in Melrose, Wisconsin. He Married Marlene Aldinger on July 2nd, 1955, in Neillsville, Wisconsin at the United Methodist Church. Earl & Marlene had 4 boys Rick (Rita), Jeff, Mark (Jackie), Dennis (Lisa) Dayton and 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He worked for Urbans in Neillsville for 34 years before retiring. He retired from the National Guards with 23 years in. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Winnifred (Schumacker) Dayton, his brothers, Darryl, Donald and sister, Ruby Frost, daughter in-law, Colleen, Sister in-laws, Dorothy, Doris and Lila, Brother in-laws, Carl Zank and Ralph Frost.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Marlene, sons Rick (Rita), Jeff, Mark (Jackie), Dennis (Lisa) Dayton,16 grandchildren,11 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren. Sisters Patty (Roger)Mallory and Donna Zank. Brother Robert. Sister-in-law Sylvia Dayton. Many nieces and nephews.

No funeral is planned at this time be he is to be buried in Neillsville City Cemetery.

Gesche funeral home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
