Debbie Urban, daughter of John and Ione (Stevens) Urban was born May 27, 1952, in Neillsville, Wisconsin. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1970. She married her high school sweetheart, David Vine, on June 3, 1972. Through the years they made stops in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Aberdeen, South Dakota and finally Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Debbie loved working with children and spent many years as an assistant preschool teacher at Rustic Hills Community Church.
Growing up in Wisconsin instilled a love of the Green Bay Packers in her heart. She was also fond of hockey and loved watching the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Washington Capitals. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and spoiling her grandchildren with garage sale finds. Debbie was a member of Rustic Hills Community Church where she served on the decorating committee. Her most impressive gift was her servant heart and love of making friends and family feel welcome in her presence. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Vine of Sioux Falls; sons, Daniel Vine of Washington D.C. and Derek (Kelly) Vine of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Penny, Oliver, and Owen; mother, Ione Urban of Germantown, WI; sister, Brenda (Thomas) Dieball of Colgate, WI; and numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Urban.
