Marie Oestreich

MARIE E. OESTREICH, age 86, of Marshfield, WI, formerly of Loyal, WI, passed away at Marshfield Medical Center on Monday, February 21, 2022.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal.  Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate, and burial will follow in Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be: Greg Oestreich, Gordon Noeldner, Perry Abel, Eric Bauer, Blake Bauer and Jace Prior.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 10am until time of service.

Marie Evelyn Noeldner was born on August 2, 1935 on the family farm, rural Loyal, WI, the daughter of Norbert E. and Rosaline E. (Frei) Noeldner.  She was raised on the farm and received her education in Loyal area schools, graduating from Loyal High School in 1953.  After high school, Marie worked as a waitress at the Loyal Cafe before her marriage to Raymond L. Oestreich on September 11, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal.  In addition to helping her husband on the farm, Marie worked at Land O' Lakes in Spencer, WI from 1972 until her retirement in 1998.  After retiring, she was a volunteer driver for Clark County and for the Amish.

She had many interests, but especially loved bowling for many years in the Women's League and the Mixed Couples League at the Loyal Bowling Alley, raising flowers, baking, where she made many cakes and cookies, and traveling, taking many trips by bus and train.

Marie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir for many years, and was active in the TLCW.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond, of Marshfield; one daughter: Rhonda (Ed) Bauer of Greenwood; three grandchildren: Eric (Tracy) Bauer of Loyal, Cara Prior of Neillsville, Blake Bauer (Dani) of Spencer; four great-grandchildren: Jace, Laila, Jaxton, and Lydia; three sisters: Joan Newberry, Jeanette (Gary) Oswald, and Carolyn (Archie Jr.) Vanderhoof, all of Marshfield; two brothers: Larry (Barb) Noeldner of Marshfield and Duane Noeldner of Loyal; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Kenneth and William Noeldner.
