Janet Petkovsek

JANET M. PETKOVSEK, age 78, of Greenwood, WI, passed away at Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen, WI, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.  Per Janet's wishes, no services will be held.

Janet Marie Krei was born on March 29, 1943 in Carroll, NE, the daughter of Theodore W. and Teresa M. (Lewis) Krei, Sr.  She was raised in Nebraska until her family moved to Greenwood in 1958.  Janet graduated from Greenwood High School in 1962, and then worked for a short time in Minocqua, WI before becoming employed at Wisconsin Homes in Marshfield.  She was united in marriage to James M. Petkovsek on October 11, 1969 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood.  Janet went on to work at Stratford Homes and WeatherShield, before starting her own business, J&J Towels.  She operated her business for 20 years.

She had many interests, but especially enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, having morning coffee with her friends, and going to the casino.

Janet is survived by her husband, Jim, of Greenwood, and her son, Doug, of Eau Claire.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Theodore Jr. and Harold "Bud" Krei.
