Robert Berger, Jr.

 ROBERT C. BERGER, JR., age 80, of Loyal, WI, passed away at Marshfield Medical Center on Friday, January 7, 2022.  A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Abby Free Church, in Abbotsford, WI, with Pastor Michael Jahnke and Pastor Bruce Jahnke co-officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 10am until time of service.

Robert Charlton Berger, Jr. was born on October 11, 1941 in Quakertown, PA, the son of Robert C. and Catherine F. (Ewashko) Berger, Sr.  He was raised on the family farm, and received his education in Pennsylvania.  Robert worked at a feed mill for a short time before his marriage to Mary Lou Yeager on November 17, 1962.  They resided in Pennsylvania where he worked at General Battery, in Hamburg, PA, and also worked as a carpenter.  In December 1975, they moved to Loyal, where they purchased a farm north of town.  While farming, Robert also worked for O.W. Trindal for a short time, and drove truck for Paul Bugar Trucking.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, of Loyal; two sons: Robert III (Sue) of Minocqua, WI, George of Loyal; three grandchildren: Eric, Greg and Lydia Berger; one brother: Raymond (Gina) Berger of Marshfield; one sister: Jean Berger of Neenah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
